For years, kids have been asking me, “Have any of your books been made into movies?” I always had to answer “Not yet,” but I always really wanted it to happen. Now I’m finally taking action. A friend and I have formed a production company with the goal of turning my books into TV shows and movies.
If you’d like to see Chet Gecko, Prince of Underwhere, Class Pets, Switched, or the Big Bad Detective Agency as a TV series or movie, you can help us. Make your voice heard! (Personally, I really want to get Chet Gecko on TV.)
What do I have to do?
Write a short letter to a major studio (we provide everything that’s needed). That’s all. You can send it electronically or via snail mail.
Why does this work?
Studios pay attention when kids, parents, or teachers write in and tell them what they want to see. So we’re making it easy for you. If you sign up below to help us, we’ll provide a sample letter format, along with the websites and mailing addresses for the major studios that produce shows for kids. (Of course, you can always compose your own awesome letter.)
How hard is this?
Easy-peasy. It only takes a few minutes.
I loved The Chameleon Wore Chartreuse. I also loved how much sarcasm Chet said. It always makes me chuckle, and when I chuckle, it makes me happy. That is what a book is supposed to do.
